I'm a software engineer based in Germany. I studied computer science with a focus on IT security, and these days I lead engineering on an internal payment platform at E.ON. Most of my work sits where security meets the load-bearing parts of a system, the code that has to be right because it moves money or holds someone's data. I like infrastructure that is calm and predictable, and I would rather delete complexity than find a clever way to live with it. When I'm not doing that at work, I'm usually doing a smaller version of it at home, on a server that exists partly so I have somewhere safe to break things.
