Editor & Terminal

  • VS Code - primary editor, with a deliberately minimal set of extensions.
  • zsh - shell of choice, kept fast and unclever.
  • Monaspace Neon - the font I stare at all day.

Languages & Tools

  • TypeScript - default for almost everything I build.
  • Node.js - backend services and tooling.
  • Angular - from years of large-scale frontend work.
  • Docker - how I package and ship most things.
  • Git - version control is love.
  • Kotlin - used for some backend services.

This Site

  • Astro - static-first framework, ships almost no JavaScript.
  • Tailwind CSS - utility-first styling with a small design system on top.
  • Caddy - reverse proxy with automatic HTTPS.
  • Umami - privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics.
  • Self-hosted - runs on my own home server, not on someone else's.

Hardware

  • Home server - an Intel i5-14500 with 64 GB of RAM and two NVMe drives in a ZFS mirror, running Proxmox.
  • Mechanical keyboard - because the feedback matters more than my colleagues on calls would like.
